Cancer Specialist Hospital's Survey

A comprehensive survey of cancer specialist hospitals in Nagpur was conducted to gather current data on cancer prevalence and treatment practices in the city. The primary focus was on understanding the types of cancers most commonly affecting the local population.

One of the hospitals visited was American Oncology, where detailed information was collected on the demographics of cancer patients. The data analysis revealed a concerning trend, with a higher incidence of throat cancer among male patients and breast cancer among female patients.

In addition, a visit was made to Kingsway Hospital to gain insights into the hospital's approach to cancer care. Discussions with the staff centered on how they stay updated with the latest advancements in cancer treatment and research, as well as the daily patient volume.

The survey proved to be highly informative, providing valuable data on the current state of cancer care in Nagpur and highlighting the specific challenges faced by patients and healthcare providers in the region.

One team visited the Rashtra Sant Tukdoji Regional Cancer Hospital to gather information on cancer awareness and rehabilitation efforts. They analyzed data and took a detailed survey, to understand the hospital's operations and patient care.

The visit provided valuable insights into the operations of a regional cancer hospital and the challenges faced in providing cancer care to a diverse population. The hospital's commitment to serving underprivileged patients, coupled with its expansion plans and openness to collaboration with CARF, presents significant opportunities for enhancing cancer awareness, treatment, and rehabilitation efforts in the region. The integration of government schemes and NGO support will further strengthen the hospital's ability to provide comprehensive care to cancer patients.
